Once you have considered our estimate for your vision of how you want the project to be done, you can then request a plan including design details, layout, material/plant list and detailed estimate. Plans are based upon tasks. For example Front Yard Landscape, Front Yard Path, Driveway, Poolscape, etc are broken out into detail and priced by item.

In order to be able to deliver this kind of professional detail, we must charge you for the time, creativity, and effort to provide you with this plan. However, when you contract with us to install this design, you will be given a discount for the full amount of the professional design plan given you.

If you chose to obtain other estimates based upon the professional landscape design by DFLdesign, you must insist on have an apple to apple estimate. This means that all specifications the estimate is based upon should be equal to the DFLdesign plan.

For example in a plant list for a landscape design by DFLdesign plant species and size are specified. This is a major factor in the resulting cost. A dogwood tree may be called for in the basic design, however, is it a Korean Dogwood, if so what is the height and caliper (diameter) of the tree that that the estimate is being based upon. If they are not the same as you see in DFLdesign’s plan, then you will not have the same result when installed.
